Through a continuing relationship with Erskineville Public School, LSA Design have recently overseen the completion of the Elliptical Garden at the school.

Formerly a lawn space adjacent to the school’s edible garden, this space transformed into a ‘rat-run’ devoid of grass but keen to produce dust - not great for the kids. Although restored several times as a lawn the growing student numbers and relative requirements saw the space need better planning and a solution to better utilise the space.

Taking design cues from the well-loved and well-established edible garden, the area has been transformed into a series of small elliptical spaces ideal for small group play, passive play and some organised games. Some of the details such as the unique brick edging and deco paving have been drawn across to into the edible garden to make these spaces read as one and keep the overall aesthetic unified.

The P+C Association facilitated the conception of a masterplan for the grounds. As areas within the masterplan become established LSA Design’s focus moves immediately to the next core area to develop.
