The Sales Office of Vanke’s Changyang Tiandi will in future become the community sports and recreation club. Therefore, part of the centre’s open space is designed to be a sports landscape so no remodelling is required upon transition.
Separated visually, and with a more playful aesthetic than the area immediately adjacent to the Sales Office, the sports landscape is a colourful and enticing space. Surrounded by a two-lane running track, the space focuses on a central sunken tennis court and beach area.
Outdoor lounges skirt the sunken beach allowing people to watch as others enjoy a game of volleyball or to supervise playing children.
A series of concrete bleachers run along the edge of the sunken core, heightening the sense of a sports landscape while allowing seating for more organised events.
