the Prince of kingston
Australian Property Institute (API) award for Property Development of the Year (ACT) for 2016
Envisaged as an homage to the Canberra of yesteryear, The Prince stands alone on the Kingston Foreshore as a development of inherent character and distinction.
Forming the living core of the development, the central garden is designed to enrich the lives of all residents.
Accentuated by playful, energetic geometry the garden comprises a series of open-plan, inter-connected spaces that provide an array of recreational functions. Tying the spaces together is a feature seating wall that threads its way through the separate garden rooms.
Selected with the site’s industrial heritage in mind, bespoke robust materials and simple but elegant detailing will both complement the style of the architecture as well as acknowledge the local history and culture of the site.
The development was awarded the prestigious Australian Property Institute (API) award for Property Development of the Year (ACT) for 2016, and was a finalist for the same award at national level.
