10 Macquarie

Parramatta, NSW

Charter Hall

10 Macquarie (formerly The Jessie Street Centre) is a well-positioned commercial development established in the 1980s. With all the hallmarks of this era, it is undergoing a repositioning to match the urban fabric now constituting the Parramatta CBD.

The landscape is one of the unique aspects of this project, comprising approximately half of the overall site area. In order to create a drawcard and valuable asset for the tenants as well as the local community, it has been designed by LSA Design as the heart of the redevelopment.

The vision ‘A Space to Work, A Place to Play’ is reflected in design principles focussed on the landscape’s ability to provide outdoor working spaces, places to gather for social and cultural events, and simply places to just get away from the workaday life.

Working with local Indigenous artists, the landscape will celebrate Jessie Mary Street, a forceful advocate for equality for women and first Australians.
